HMI Announces New Interim CEO

We are very pleased to announce that long-time HMI employee, Holistic Management Certified Educator and practitioner, Dr. Ann Adams has been appointed Interim CEO of HMI effective immediately. Ann replaces outgoing CEO Peter Holter (press release).

A Holistic Management Certified Educator since 1998, Ann was instrumental in designing and implementing the USDA funded Beginning Women Farmers & Ranchers Program, our Open Gate On-Farm program and our Ag Educators Professional Development Program.Ā  Ann regularly teaches both onsite and distance learning classes and offers consulting in Holistic Management for family farms and ranchers with a particular focus on goal setting facilitation and financial planning. Ann has also written countless articles on Holistic Management, and has helped to develop agriculture-based software for financial planning and grazing planning for farmers and ranchers. Ann is the author of “At Home with Holistic Management” and is the Managing Editor of HMI’s “In PRACTICE” journal.

  2. Congratulations Ann !! We at Go Farm U attempted to partner with Holistic Management International and even participated in some of your classes and small farm program in Virginia. We have moved our operation onto 1280 acres in Northern Idaho next to the University of Idaho and are still interested in a possible partnership. We teach sustainable farming and many of the same classes you do over an internet base. We would love to discuss it at some point after Peter leaves.
