Mary has a strong academic and professional history working on climate change mitigation and international development projects. She is has studies and practices Holistic Management since 2004 with HMI. Certified by the USDA as a farm conservation planner,she has over 15 years of project management experience in the public and private sectors including: business planning & entrepreneurial consulting,environmental assessment & rehabilitation,wetlands restoration,field based carbon assessments and farm best management practices. She uses Holistic Management and Permaculture Design in her consultation with farmers and ngo's,with a focus on climate change adaptation and mitigation. At least once a year,she teaches a 72 hour Permaculture Design Certificate course that includes an intro to Holistic Management from her farmstead in western Massachusetts. She offers occasional shorter workshops and is available for 1:1 or small group consulting/training. She works hard to help business owners develop their own plan that includes planned profit,and a functional decision making process that allows managers to test their actions against their desired goals as they make tough choices. She regularly travels and works internationally and has worked with partners on projects in: Colombia,Brazil,Paraguay,Peru,Panama,USVI,Haiti,Ecuador,Thailand,Kenya & numerous states in the continental USA. She speaks Spanish and English.
