The Gutierrez-Hubbell House is a cultural and historical museum surrounded by public open space and farmland. The Grow the Growers Program participants manage the farm and test different regenerative agricultural techniques. Despite its rich agrarian history, the South Valley is home to many families in need of better access to locally grown, healthy food.
The Grow the Growers Program grows food that is distributed to 350 local families through the La Cosecha CSA, a community supported agricultural initiative of the Agri-Cultura Network. Sixty-five percent of families receiving weekly food shares do so at subsidized rates. Proceeds are returned to the Grow the Growers program to support future cohorts of the farm training and business acceleration program.
After visiting the farm, feel free to walk their wooded paths along the madre acequia, or bring a picnic lunch and enjoy it at one of the shaded outdoor tables. View the Gutierrez-Hubbell House website here.
