Beginning Farmer Program Reaps Rewards

Tanya Moyer, a 2012  graduate of HMI's  New York Beginning Women Farmer program, recently wrote an article about her experiences in the program that was published in Cornell University's Fall 2015 Quarterly.  Although both she and her partner had grown up on farms, she's grateful she enrolled in the program.

Moyer gives a thorough description of the Beginning Farmer program, as well as an introduction to Holistic Management principles.  Most interesting though, is the impact her learning has had on the success of her farm, Mulligan Creek Acres.

A new session of the Beginning Women Farmer program starts in January 2015.   There are still spots available; to register, click on the following link:  Information and Registration for New York Beginning Women Farmer program Moyer's full article is available here: Holistic Management at Mulligan Creek Acres
