Don Campbell might operate a quiet ranch in the country, but his work has earned him national attention. Campbell, who co-owns B-C Ranch Inc. just northwest of Meadow Lake, was featured in the latest issue of Country Guide Magazine, which lists the 12 most influential farmers in Canada. "I was actually quite surprised but I was pleased too," said Campbell, who humbly admits that he doesn't consider himself a dominant figure in farming. Campbell raises cattle on his ranch with his two sons: Scott and Mark. However, it's what he does off the ranch that caught the eye of Country Guide Magazine. The rancher has also been a teacher of holistic management for years, and is a registered instructor with Holistic Management International. Much of western Canada has served as Campbell's classroom, where he instructs seminars on the philosophy that combines business sense with sensitivity.
