Free Ohio Low-Stress Livestock Event

HMI is proud to partner with Greenacres, a holistically managed educational farm near Cincinnati, Ohio through our sponsorship of their free low-stress livestock event on May 25, 2017. Greenacres is hosting well known Animal Behavior Expert and author of Genetics and the Behavior of Domestic Animals and Humane Livestock Handling, Mark Deesing to provide members of the public a hands-on cattle handling workshop. Working as a Facilities Design Consultant alongside Dr. Temple Grandin, Mark Deesing has had the opportunity to study a variety of cattle genetics, temperaments, and herding techniques. The techniques highlighted in this workshop will help attendees create a low stress environment for their livestock which will lead to a better quality food product.Greenacres is also hosting a Horsemanship event the following day on May 26th with Mark Deesing.
