HMI Beginning Women Farmers Making News

Our Beginning Woman Farmer program in the Northeast has trained 180 women so far (and counting!). Many of our "graduates" are already making a difference.  Year one program participant Maureen Regan is the Queens Botanical Garden coordinator and a strong advocate for urban farms. She was recently featured on NY1 Television. Take a few minutes to watch the clip. Sanne Kure-Jensen, a freelance writer who attended our conference in Massachusetts  wrote a short article about Caroline Pam's presentation at the conference. Caroline is also a program "graduate". She talked about her successes and experiences marketing to local restaurants. We are so proud these remarkable women are getting the recognition they deserve!
