HMI Certified Educators are rigorously trained through HMI's Certified Educator Training Program. In this training program, we teach people how to effectively facilitate and support producers as they learn how to implement Holistic Management and get the results they want. Our educators annually educate and train over 5,000 people who influence over 5 million acres around the world.
Here's what some of our educators are doing:
Tony McQuail is from Ontario, Canada and has transitioned the family farm to his daughter, freeing up more time to be a Holistic Management instructor and to share his knowledge and experience with educators and policy makers, like in this video of him lecturing at the University of Manitoba's Faculty of Agriculture and Food.
Philipp Mayer from Finland co-owns a cattle farm and has improved the productivity and profitability of his farm as well as becoming a highly sought after regenerative agriculture lecturer and consultant (be sure to click on auto translate for close captions for whatever language you would like to read what Philipp is saying).
Learn how Certified Educator Kelly Mulville has worked to create a vineyard design that allows sheep to graze easily below the vines to provide numerous ecosystem services that make the vineyard at Paicines Ranch near Paicines, California more resilient to climate extremes on the following webinar sponsored by Greencover Seeds.
Brian Wehlburg is an HMI Certified Educator from Kindee, New South Wales, Australia and provides Holistic Management all over the country. Listen to Brian talk about the value of Holistic Grazing on this Maia Grazing webinar.
HMI Certified Educator, Lee Altier, is also a Chico State Professor of Agriculture and a Fulbright Scholar who has also taught at Ege University in Turkey. “My classes were focused on agricultural strategies that seek to maintain productivity and regenerate soil health in a rapidly changing climate," says Altier. “Besides Turkish students, I had students from all over Asia, Africa and Europe, which offered wonderful opportunities for engaging the class in conversations about food security issues in their respective countries."
If you'd like to learn how to drought proof your ranch, listen to this video by HMI Certified Educator, Graeme Hand from Mount Coolum, Queensland, Australia.
Learn how HMI Certified Educator Blain Hjertaas from Redvers, Saskatchewan, Canada is working on a special General Mills funded project to provide regenerative agriculture consulting to their supply chain of crop farmers.

HMI Certified Educator Owen Hablutzel from Los Angeles, California has consulted on Holistic Management and Keyline. He spoke at the Restorative Agriculture Design Course on "The Whole Ecology."
HMI Certified Educator Rob Rutherford was a Professor of Animal Science at Cal Poly University in San Luis Obispo, California, but also became involved in a unique project on integrating sheep grazing into a sustainably designed golf course.
