If you are looking for a quick way to monitor how your life is panning out, there is nothing like a gratitude journal to help you note what the top 3 or 4 slices of happiness in your day have been. Studies have also shown that keeping a gratitude journal increases determination and enthusiasm and actually shapes how you respond to future stresses.
I’ve found that I see patterns of what I am making time for in my life that is leading me to my holistic goal as I record my gratitude each day. I also become aware that I haven’t made time for good food, time with friends and family, or exercise if they aren’t appearing in my gratitude journal and that can be a clue that I’ve gotten off track on what brings balance and pleasure into my life.
The great thing about a gratitude journal is that it takes only a minute and is a great way to end your day.
