Holistic Planned Grazing Workshop with Kirk Gadzia September 30 – October 1, 2016 Aurora, Colorado

As a livestock manager, you know that how you manage your herd effects the health of your land. This 2-day workshop allows ranchers to spend time both in the classroom and on the land learning about key grazing strategies and implementation as well as create their own holistic grazing plan to achieve their goals.

What to Expect

Kirk Gadzia has decades of experience consulting around the world to help ranchers manage their livestock and grazing, and is one of HMI’s most experienced and respected Certified Educators.  With Kirk’s interactive style and practical guidance, you will learn:

  • How to get your livestock to the right place at the right time and for the right reasons

  • How to maximize your stocking rate

  • How to plan your grazing to increase your profits from meat, milk, or fiber

  • How to use animals as tools to create the future landscape you desire

  • How to maximize production and profitability from both land and animals

  • How to effectively plan and utilize stock density and herd effect

  • How to manage grazing and animal impact to regenerate soil health and build resilient, productive and biodiverse landscapes

This workshop is designed to allow land managers to create their own grazing plan. To get the most out of Kirk Gadzia’s experience and instruction, we recommend you bring maps, paddock sizes and quality estimates, and information regarding specifics of an actual property.

Cost is $250 per person and includes lunch each day.
