Life on a Holistic Georgia Farm - Will Harris

will harris

There's a great new video out from Peter Byck on Holistic Management practitioner, Will Harris of White Oak Pastures in Georgia. "One Hundred Thousand Beating Hearts" chronicles the story of how the farm went from a conventional operation to a regenerative agriculture operation in which they use Holistic Management. The Harris family focuses on animal welfare as well as environmental sustainability as they have developed a substantial local food operation, employing many people in a rural community where businesses have closed.

Environmental Stewardship

Their work has been recognized by many entities including the Governor’s Award for Environmental Stewardship in 2011, The University of Georgia’s Award of Excellence in 2008,  the Most Respected Business Leader in Georgia, the Growing Green Award in 2014, and the Georgia Organics Land Steward Award in 2016. Congratulations to the Harris family for all these awards and the results they've achieved on the land and in their community. Watch One Hundred Thousand Beating Hearts from Peter Byck.
