HMI Certified Educator Tony McQuail spoke on a panel about using draft animals speaking from his experience of using Suffolk Punch draft horses on Meeting Place Organic Farm near Lucknow, Ontario. In his presentation of Live Power in Agriculture" for the Canadian National Farmers Union, Tony makes the point that while many people are excited about the potential of using methane, biodiesel, and ethanol on farms as types of renewable energy, he already knows of a renewable farm energy engine that self-replicates, can be powered on what he can produce on his land and the waste product from the combustion of the energy can be used as fertilizer on the farm. The engine can even be voice activated. He was, of course, talking about about his draft horses. Take a look at the following video which shows the many uses for draft animals.
