For the
last two years, Greg and Rachel Hart have graciously opened the doors to Mangarara Station in New Zealand. Mangarara (The Family Farm) is a 610 hectare/1500 acre hill country farm in Elsthorpe, Hawke’s Bay, and has been in the Hart family since 1990. Mangarara is a mixture of rolling hills, steep hills, pasture, lakes, wetlands, and both native and exotic trees.
On each occasion, Greg has spoken to event participants, sharing the unique history of Mangarara Station, as well as the increasing number of enterprises they have added to their operation, which now includes pigs, dairy, beef, sheep, chickens, and the Ecolodge; which overlooks Horseshoe Lake, and was retro-fitted using local and natural materials all grown and milled on the farm.
Today, we’d like to share a video about Greg, Rachel, and Mangarara Station. We hope you enjoy!
