Keith and Linda Long are dedicated graziers and land stewards who own and operate Graze the Prairie, a regenerative cattle and sheep operation in South Central Kansas. Their approach to Holistic Planned Grazing focuses on restoring native tallgrass prairie, improving soil health, and optimizing livestock performance.

Linda is a Professional Certified Educator with Holistic Management International (HMI) and a recognized leader in holistic land management. She has mentored farmers and ranchers nationwide, helping them implement sustainable, profitable grazing systems.

Keith is a seasoned grazier with extensive experience in Holistic Management. He holds a bachelor’s degree in animal science and a master’s in animal genetics, bringing a deep understanding of livestock production and regenerative land management. Together, they are deeply committed to land stewardship, biodiversity, and community development. Their efforts focus on maintaining native grasslands, fostering biodiversity, and ensuring their livestock thrive in a balanced ecosystem. Through their farm and Linda’s work as an educator, they actively promote the long-term benefits of regenerative agriculture, demonstrating its positive impact on the land, local communities, and future generations.

 Wayne Knight, Executive Director of Holistic Management International

With 27 years of experience in Holistic Management, Wayne Knight has spent his career working with ranchers worldwide to implement high-density grazing, drought management strategies, and regenerative land practices. Originally from South Africa, Wayne was introduced to Holistic Planned Grazing through his father, Tom Knight, an early adopter of Allan Savory’s and Stan Parsons’ methods. Over the years, Wayne has worked with farmers across Southern Africa, Australia, and the United States, learning from some of the most innovative and successful grazers in the world. A Certified Educator since 2006, Wayne has led training sessions, mentored ranchers, and spoken at conferences across multiple continents. Before becoming Executive Director of HMI, he served as a board member for eight years.
