In this course, you will learn the key grazing planning principles and practices for improving land health and productivity. You will learn the steps to this simple approach to grazing planning so that you can better analyze and address critical grazing considerations, as well as determine forage inventory, animal needs, and grazing and recovery periods. Once you have clarity about these parameters you will learn how to develop and communicate to others a written grazing plan. This course is six weeks long and you should plan on about 2 – 4 hours each week to participate in the webinars and complete the assignments.

Learn key business model and planning concepts while exploring pricing, marketing channels, opportunities, and challenges. Create your own business plan while determining viable markets for your farm or ranch.
Biological Monitoring
Develop skills to “read the land” so you can evaluate ecosystem health on a daily basis and better understand the impact of your land and livestock management practices. Learn simple monitoring techniques to annually measure changes over time and determine which monitoring techniques will give you the information to increase productivity and build long-term biodiversity and resilience.

Making Money with Regenerative Grazing Using Holistic Management®

Greenacres Foundation raises a variety of animals using humane and low-stress handling techniques. They produce grass-finished Black Angus cattle and lamb, woodland-raised pork, pastured poultry, and vegetables that are free of chemical fertilizers and pesticides.
Please join us at this farm field day to see how working with nature can improve your land and generate more wealth. Discussions will revolve around the role of animals in healthy ecosystem functions, soil health, infrastructure, grazing planning, and animal investments. You will be presented with case studies, a tour of the farm, and Holistic Management tools to help you determine your next steps and priorities.
