Holistic Managers Linda Pechin-Long and Keith Long were recently highlighted in an article on the Farm Talk website. Keith and Linda have been long time Holistic Management producers who have created a successful business, Graze the Prairie, a pasture to plate business focused on grassfed beef and lamb that they started in 2012.
Graze the Prairie products include grass-fed lamb, pastured pork, grass-fed beef, Jason Weibe dairy cheese, hot dogs and hot links. Keith and Linda offer online purchase and local delivery as well as selling at the Wichita Farmers Market.
Keith has over 30 years of ranching experience and has been practicing Holistic Management for over 20 years on numerous ranches in a variety of climates, scales, and eco-regions. He is able to translate his knowledge into practical information for new and experienced producers. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Kansas Grazing Lands Coalition and the Tallgrass Legacy Alliance
With over 10 years in ranching and agriculture, Linda brings a wealth of experience to her presentations, training, and coaching. Linda also has years of experience direct marketing her products both wholesale and retail and can help you build a business/marketing plan. Also, with over 25 years in the hospitality sector, Linda is uniquely positioned to help you address leadership, personnel, team dynamics, and management systems issues. Linda’s specialty is developing agri-tourism opportunities. Linda recently became a HMI Certified Educator. She has provided educational support to livestock operations in Mississippi, Colorado, Arkansas, Kansas and New Mexico.
