As a nonprofit, our goal is to make a difference in the lives of others, which we do by offering classes in Holistic Management; ranging from one-day introductory classes, to comprehensive weeks-long classes. But even with an expanded schedule, we found that we weren’t able to train everyone who was interested in learning more about Holistic Management.
We know farmers and ranchers are busy, and sometimes just can’t get away to take a class. Or they may live in an area where classes are not being offered.
That’s why we’re so happy that we are now able to offer online classes for those that are unable to attend a class at a physical location. Interest in our online classes continues to grow as more farmers, ranchers, and food advocates show interest in learning more about Holistic Management and its environmental, economic, and social benefits.
While we know that we’re making a difference, it’s always gratifying when one of our students lets us know just how important our classes have been to them, and their own life goals. Here’s some words from Branden Schmidt, one of our students who was enrolled in our online ‘Introduction to Holistic Management’ class.
“The Introduction to Holistic Management course was a perfect starting place for me in my dream of becoming a bison rancher. As a person who did not grow up in ranching or farming and who has had very limited exposure to it, this course provided the perfect foundation of knowledge for having a sustainable and profitable operation that firs the life I want to have. I would highly recommend this course for beginners such as myself as the best way to gain insight into managing an operation which is every bit as important as finding somewhere to learn the practical skills I need. Phil and Julie have certainly helped me move towards making my dream a reality. I will be sure to use these practices in ranching and in my life.”
The class that Brenden attended had participants from the U.S., Canada, Madagascar, Belgium, Namibia, and Nigeria.
Wherever you’re located, you can attend one of our online classes. Be sure to visit our website to learn more about the classes and look over the schedule of upcoming classes. And if you do take a class, be sure to let us know if it’s made a difference in your life. That’s why we do it!
